Samsung is making Samsung Pay an even more complete mobile wallet platform with the introduction of a cash back feature to its mobile payments service. The move will enable shoppers to get money back on purchases made at partner retailers.

In a new Cash Back section of the Samsung Pay app’s home screen, users will find a range of exclusive offers from retailers. By clicking on the offer they want and purchasing through the participating merchant, the user will receive a percentage back. This amount can then be spent toward a purchase anywhere Samsung Pay is used.

"Our mobile wallet strategy is all about offering more choices for consumers and more opportunities for merchants," Nana Murugesan, vice president and general manager of services and new business for Samsung Electronics America, wrote in the blog post. "Cash Back creates a new channel for merchants to reach and reward consumers who are looking for great deals."

The firm is also planning to start letting users buy Samsung Rewards points, similar to how airlines offer the chance to purchase extra miles.
